For Irish customers, COMREG have opened SMS SENDER identification registration.
We will automatically register existing SMS customers but if you plan to send SMS this year, act now and let us know the Sender name you plan to use.
The Sender ID should reflect your brand, max 11 chars.
The first COMREG deadline for submissions is 25th February.
From 3 July 2025, SMS with unregistered Sender IDs will be labelled Likely Scam to alert the recipient that the SMS may not be legitimate.
From 3 October 2025, SMS messages with unregistered SMS Sender IDs will be blocked at source.
